Intersectional themes adapted to local contexts

Museum of Capitalism took an intersectional approach to political economy, allowing artists and audiences to explore connections between capitalism and interrelated issues like racism, colonialism, and environment, and adapting themes to fit local context. The present research proposal would seek to convene diverse participants around questions of land rights, claims, and access; ownership, inheritance, and institutional memory; management and maintenance; artistic autonomy and political commitment; emplacement and embodiment; ecological, energy, and alternative literacies; and infrastructures across urban-rural and post-colonial divides, as well as concerns that arise out of the research process.
