Wildcat Hauling

WITH: AMERICAN HAULING, BIODIESEL HAULING, RESIDENTS OF WEST OAKLAND, COROCORAN INSTITUTE OF ART

Wildcat Hauling is a multimedia and social practice project documenting and addressing public dumping in urban environments, with a specific focus on West Oakland, California. By creating a collaborative coalition of private junk haulers and scrappers, the project not only physically remediated dumping sites but also provided critical documentation and outreach that contextualized waste management within broader frameworks of economic and environmental justice, public health, and systemic inequities of disposal access.
